Kipu Club Lounge Chair by Lapalma

The Kipu Club by Lapalma is the next evolution of Anderssen & Voll’s pebble-inspired Kipu family. Ten years after the original pouf debuted, the designers have added an embracing, ergonomically curved backrest that turns the sculptural seat into a cosy armchair. The new shell continues the pouf’s softly triangular footprint and flowing upholstery seams, but now rises gently to support shoulders and spine, transforming the “river stone” into a protective nest. Beneath the tailored cover, double-density polyurethane foam over a multilayer wood base ensures lasting comfort, while discreet polypropylene glides let the piece float almost weightlessly across any floor. 

Versatile by nature, Kipu Club slips easily into hotel lounges, collaborative offices, libraries, or relaxed residential corners—either as a solitary statement or grouped into organically shaped islands. A broad palette of removable fabrics, leathers, and coated textiles invites playful colour-blocking or refined tonal harmony, allowing the armchair to mirror its surroundings just as a pebble reflects the hues of its streambed. The result is a welcoming club one joins not by membership, but simply by taking a seat.
